Side-by-side comparisons of Bio-Techne and Santa Cruz antibodies
SANTA CRUZ IS NO LONGER SELLING POLYCLONAL ANTIBODIES: As a result of a groundbreaking USDA ruling, a large number of Santa Cruz polyclonal antibodies were discontinued December 31, 2016. In light of this news, Bio-Techne is working overtime to support your research and keep your experiments moving forward with minimal to no interruption.
THE RISK OF TESTING SANTA CRUZ’S TOP SELLING ANTIBODIES: As part of our internal effort to quell your concerns about switching antibody suppliers, we have begun putting our own antibodies to the test. We picked a handful of Santa Cruz’s most cited antibodies and performed head-to-head comparisons on multiple applications ranging from western blot to flow cytometry. Our decision to test Santa Cruz’s most cited antibodies was risky, but deliberate. We understood that their top selling antibodies were validated by thousands of peer-reviewed publications and heavily relied on by many labs. There was the obvious risk that our antibodies might not stack up against their best sellers.
OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR RESEARCH: However, at Bio-Techne, our commitment to your research compelled us to take that risk anyway. We want you to make the most informed decisions about your research, and we felt we could help by providing the data here for your personal review. As part of our commitment, Bio-Techne has started publishing the results of our side-by-side comparisons. The first batch of data can be found below, and we will continue to test our antibodies against equivalent Santa Cruz products.
